Hello I recently discovered that my 120 gallon has ??ich/ick?? and im trying to figure out how to cure it. I have an emtpy 75 gallon (dry) and am trying to figure out if I should move all my fish into the 75 and cure them in their and allow the 120 to be fishless for several weeks or if I should move all my corals/ inverts into the 75 and directly dose the 120 while the 75 is fishless (with corals and inverts in it).

Stock list:
2x flame hawk
2x saddleback clowns
1 chalk bass
1 royal gramma
1 coral beauty
1 cherub angel
1 false shepardi (flame hybrid)
1 YWG/ pistol
1 swissguard basslet
1 mystery wrasse
1 melenarus wrasse

I think this may be too many fish to add to the 75 all at once so rigt now im leaning towards putting all my corals and inverts in the 75 and dosing the 120 with medicine.

i would move all fish to the 75gl and treat with cupramine as directed, and leave the 120 with the corals & inverts in the tank for 8weeks fishless so the ich dies off good luck

+1 Put a bunch of air driven sponge filters and AquaClear power filters w/foam inserts in the 75. It would be best to "seed" the sponge/foam inserts with bacteria by leaving them in the DT for a couple of weeks before treating. I would also suggest getting one of those Seachem ammonia badges to monitor the ammonia in the 75. And be prepared to do lots of WCs in there until you're sure the sponge/foam inserts are seeded and doing their thing. Basically, if you see any excess food/poop laying on the bottom, suck it out!
