Ich in QT tank

Can ich live in a quarantine tank that has no substrate? All I have in my quarantine tanks are pvc pipe and water...and fish of course.

sure it can it can live off the fishes, even with no substrate

I thought that just like it needed the fish to complete its life cycle, it also needed the sand/substrate???????????? Is that the case??????????

Interesting question. As a wild guess there's probably enough slime in the corners for it to live on or in---it's not very big; but the lack of sand might slow it down.
