Ich In Reef Tank

I recently added a coral beatuy angel w/o quarintining him. Just my luck he did have ich (and ended up dying) as now does my blue hippo. I gave the hippo a freshwater dip and he perked up today and is looking better. I have one clown fish, lawnmover blenny, yellow citron clown goby, and the hippo. My first question is are my other fish likely candidates for ich even though they don't show signs already? And secondly is how do I go about treating this in my reef tank. I heard from the lfs to just keep dipping the tang as needed and otherwise just waiting the disease out. Is this accurate info and if so how will I know when the Ich' s all gone? Thanks!

the ich cant be cured in a reef tank. you need to quarantine the fish and leave the reef tank without any fish for about 30 days or more. the ich will eventually die off in the reef tank and when your fish is cured of ich from the hyposalinity treatment or copper treatment, then you can put the fish back in the reef. sucks huh? but its the only way, im in same boat as you. we all are riding the Ich Boat.

Well, all fish in the tank may be carrying the C. irritans. Either keep the water quality high and feed the fish well or quarantine all the fish. Ofcourse quarantining all the fish is safer but many people choose not to.
