ICH in the Nano... Help on light schedule...

I have a 12G Nano setup with 1 32watt 50/50 and no skimmer. I have ICH in tank. Now that being said I am doing garlic treatments, freshwater dips on my Hippo, raising the heater to 82 and frequent water changes. Now that being said, I have the oppritunity to take the fish and coral out and am putting them in a Q tank. What can I do to this tank to rid it from ich? should I take all of the water out and replace? Should I turn the lights off all of the time for 4 weeks? Should I take the sand out and clean it and dry it and replace? What can I do to ensure the safety of my fish before I put him back into the Nano?

Remove all the fish from the tank for 6 weeks or more and the parasite should die out in the tank from a lack of food (Fish). Keep everything normal for the inverts.

im looking to speed things up to 2 or 3 weeks... what would I have to do to eradicate within that time frame?

The hippo (assuming it is a hippo tang) is stressed out because it doesn't have enough swimming room. Other causes of stress can lead to ick.

I agree with Terry.

You really can't speed the life cycle that much. We would all be going two or three weeks if that actually worked.

No, there is no purpose to keeping the tank dark. Your corals need the light to survive. Keep the optimal temperature for the inverts to. Keep the fish out of your reef for 6 weeks or longer. In the future, quarantine all new fish for 30 days or more before putting them in your display tank.
