I have 2 clownfish that have been my tank for 4 days now. Yesterday I noticed my maroon clown has like a white line/lesion that starts in the middle of its body and extends through his tail fin. The white line is only on its left side and is toward the upper side of its body. The fish is eating a lot and swimming a lot too, doesn't show any obvious symptoms or does it???? My supplier said it could possibly be ich from the initial stress of adding it to the tank, but didn't really know. He said to add half dose of methyl blue and wait for a little while and see if it goes away or gets worse. But I read on the container that it could cause ammonia spike and stain your tank blue!? What should I do?? Has anyone used methyl blue or know what the hell that white line could be?
Oh ya, the other clown has no visible signs of ich or anything else that I can see.
