Ich problem?

I have an Emperor Angel that is moving sluggishly and has a mottled appearance. I noticed his tail fin has a powder looking coatin on it. His colors are a little blotchy. Is this Ich? If so, can I treat him in my reef tank? I highly doubt I can get him out without rearranging the entire tank.

you may have to get him out if it has ick. you might try garlic elixir mixed in the food. can you post a pic? try posting this in the fish diseases forum.

It could be ich or it may be a bacteria infection. Use Prevent Ich first, its reef safe and availabe in your LFS or Petco. Treast 2 times a day for 5 to 7 days. I used all the time with very good results.

I was going to take a picture, but I'm positive it wouldnt be clear enough to see it. Ive seen ich on my freshwater fish and this "powder" looks smaller than the ich Ive seen. I'll treat anyway.
