Hello everyone! We have an existing 46g bowfront that has several fish in it, as well as an Ich problem. We just set up a new 90 Gal that is cycling now. The general plan is to move most of the livestock from the 46 to the 90. We figured this would be a perfect time to try to rid the 46 of the ich, so a move of all of the fish in the 46 for a time is in order. My question is threefold:
1. Is a freshwater dip prior to transferring the fish to the new tank enough to ensure that we're not going to just transfer the ich to the new tank?
2. We have a Rose and a Condy in the tank to move as well. Will they transfer ich? If so, can you dip those guys or will that kill them?
3. How long should we wait before transferring the few fish that will go back to the 46?
Sorry for the long-winded questions, but one stumbles upon another. Thanks for the input!
