ich treatment.

allright.. why do you suggest skipping the feshwater dip?? it seems like it is a pretty good way to help get rid of the ich since it can survive in low salinity if its in pure freshwater for a couple mins it would get it all off the fish right?? im not questioning your knowledge just curious why you say skip it.

and trigger i dont think your comment was needed.. i did in fact read the things at the top of the forum and i know that was a bad statement but im asking for other ways to solve ich, not to get criticized for asking something. right after i posted that i went up and read those things and saw that it does go through that. im not a noob or anything i just made a bad statement.. not trying to be a jerk but i dont think your comment was needed here

allright thats understandable.. so just move them straight to QT and it seems like bring the salinity down somewhat slowly then leave them in the for 6-8 weeks.. thanks for all the help.. even the reading couldnt help me with all this allthough it did help..

ill let everyone know how it goes

(now i get the fun job of water changes and catching all the fish

yeah ill def be putting all new fish through hypo just to make sure.. it seems like everything in this hobby you find something that works a couple or alot of times then another thing comes up and completely screws you over from the way you did it before then you find there is a different better way to do things :)

bring the salinity down somewhat slowly

it has been noted that bringing down the salinity all at once is the best approach when performing hypo. I cannot substantiate that approach as being more effective..
however, hypo did not really work for me when salinity was gradually lowered..
could be totally unrelated..but nonetheless,,i would recommend to bring it down to the treatment level right away.

and yes,,that you will not find in the pinned readings..:D

allright.. the reason i found to bring it down slowly was so that the fish wouldnt be shocked from the salinity drop, i guess it doesnt make as much of a difference to them as it would to corals though.. so thanks :)
