Ich visible on glass?

I think I had an outbreak of ich in my tank (currently fishless) and wanted to know if the actual ich parasite is visible and if it ever crawls on glass. I can't tell if its copepods on the glass or possibly ich. They are very small and whiteish colored. I would take a pic but all I have is my iphone which can't get a pic of what I'm talking about. Any ideas?

Ich only shows up on fish. On glass I would think it's hydroids or something. Definitely not ich.

Ich is never visible by the naked eye. White spots on fish, which are visible are not ich parasites but only the aftermath of the parasite leaving the fish.
