Ich?

I think one of my Clowns might have Ich, but don't know for sure. Every picture I find of Ich shows a lot of small, fine particles all over the fish. This guy has one spot, about the size of a grain of sand near his front fin.

I can't seem to get a picture of the little guy because of him swimming so much. They were in QT for just under a month and didn't show any signs of infection. They were also at the LFS for about 6 weeks before I bought them and I never saw any indication they were sick during that 6 week period.

Is it possible that it's Ich since there is only one spot and seems to be larger than a grain of salt.

It's possible a little piece of sand is sticking to him. That happens with my Mandarin now and then. I'd take a wait and see attitude and see if he displays any other symptoms. For future reference, six weeks is the minimum you should quarantine.

I'm hoping it's just sand. I almost want to pull him out and see if it comes off, but I don't want to hurt him.

I was going by this sticky that says 2 - 8 weeks. I figured I would pick a number in the middle. But thanks for letting me know. I'll try and QT longer next time.
