Ich?

This would be the first time I have seen ich in person if it is indeed ich. I have noticed several white dots on the fins of my Kole Eye Tang. Sorry, this is the best picture I could get considering he/she doesn't like to sit still for a camera, but does enjoy photo-bombing others. I also included a photo-bomb of the brittle star I have.

This is my advice. Set up a hospital immediately and prepare it for hyposalinity. If your kole tang has ich then it needs to be treated ASAP. I have lost a kole tang to ich, because I waited too long. OST definitely saved my yellow tang.

Unfortunately you'll also have to deal with the fact your display is infected.

Here is another picture. The white spot by the tail on the top of the fish is what draws the most concern. I am not sure if the dot has always been there or if it's new.

Its really hard to tell with these images out of focus. Did this appear all at once. overnight or did you see them slowly get worse..
my Scopes tang likes to get under the rocks wiggle around where sand and debris gets Trapped and gets stuff all over it.

But if you follow the thread mentioned above you will see some fish with ich.. or google kole tank with ich and compare...IF yo think it is Get them out and treat with hyop salinity or ttm method now or the tang will die..... They never make it without help ..

Sorry, it doesn't hold still long enough to get a good picture. They appeared all at once and this morning the white dots on the fin were gone. The large white dot still remains, but I seem to remember it being there when I got the fish.

Yeah I really hate when they don't cooperate LOL.

Ich will normally stay visible for 2-3 days on a fish, but it also likes to hang out in the gills as well. At this point I think I might wait and see if it reappears, If it was ich it will return. I would not add anything else until you know one way or the other.

If you decide to go ahead and treat then all fishes need to be treated. I would go with the Tank Transfer Method (TTM) and the display tank must remain fishless (fallow) for 72 days. Good luck.
