I believe my powder blur tang has ich. The only other fish I have is a coral beauty. And I have a bulb tip anemone in my tank. My question is, can I treat these fish with the anemone in my tank or do I need to take out the anemone and treat the whole tank separetely?

any help help is appreciated.....

Take the fish out and treat it with either hypo or copper in a QT tank. Do not put any fish in your display tank for 8 weeks and the Ick will be gone.

Your anemone or any other inverts will not survive hypo or Copper. You don't need to treat your Main tank with anything.

Just leave no fish in it for 8 weeks and the Ich will be gone.

Treat your fish in a QT with Hypo or copper.

Try Kick-Ick. It works for me many times and it is safe for anemones. I know some people said it doesn't work, but it did for me every time. You just need to follow the instruction for the full 2 weeks of treatment.

I have not experienced Ick for almost a year now, but I always keep a bottle of Kick-Ick just in case. It is best when you treat it as soon as you detect it.

It happened to my tank when I did a water change without realizing that the heater in the new salt mix tank was not working. the cold temp swing caused some of my fish to get Ick. But after I treated the tank with Kick-Ick, all fish recovered.
