I have a tank thats about 7 months old and i have 4 fish now they have ich i have heard adding qarlic works is that true?

Garlic will work if the fish are still eating. Soak food in garlic extreme or eco-systems Garlic paste. Paste better contains vitamins. Soak food for 15-20min. Do multiple feedings thru out the day. If you can remove fish better to treat in hospital tank. Fresh water bath would be helpful.

well I thought the ich was gone fish where eating looked good yesturday but this morning my long nose butterfly had it all over him and was almost dead died later in the afternoon.cow fish also has it now.and would not eat.emergancy freshwater dip and a trip to my LFS and my buddy there gave me some copper treatment that they use in a cup did not even charge me just had to get the test kit so i added that ,all other fish ok so far.

Ich has a cycle, some of which is not on your fish. If you read the links given they'll most likely given information on using hypo or copper on ALL your fish and allowing you main tank to go fallow.

ok in the article i read it said that lowering the salintity to 14ppt is usually sufficiant to kill ich using a refractionator I only have a neeedle style that shows salinty tank curantly 1.024 what would i lower it to testing that way sorry if that question is dumb just want to be sure i do not lower the salintity to much
