Alright, so I have 4 fish in a 20 gallon QT tank. An ORA Blood Orange Clown, a Royal Gramma, and two Pintail Wrasses.
Now obviously 2 of these fish are not like the others by about 225 dollars, and as such, the wrasses are my top priority. They are both expensive and very hard to get up here in Canada.
So the clown was the first added, and lived alone for about a week without showing anything. The wrasses went in next, and have been in for a few days. One was/still is clear, and the other had 2 spots when I got it. Lastly, I added the gramma, which was clean when I got it.
Now, 24 hours later, in the span of about 3 hours, the gramma went from clean to having several ick spots on his tail. The other 3 remain the same.
1. How old is this aquarium?
About 2 months
2. If less than six months old, what is ammonia level?
Not sure, can get numbers soon
3. What is SG of this aquarium? How measured?
30, refrac
4. When was the last fish added to this aquarium?
Royal Gramma, on August 18th
5. Was it quarantined? If so, how? And how long? Was it prophylactically treated? How?
Currently in quarantine. No treatments applied yet.
6. If you are using a copper based medication, which one? How often do you measure level? When?
Read above
7. If you are using hyposalinity, how did you calibrate your refractometer?
Read Above
8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color?
Clownfish-Clear
Wrasse 1-Clear
Wrasse 2-2 spots. One on dorsal and one on pectoral fin
Gramma-Several spots on tail
9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish?
Normal. All are swimming around, eating, no change in behavior
10. Is the fish eating? What?
All 4 are eating. All take mysis with gusto, wrasses and clown will take pellets too.
So with the info supplied, does anyone have some advice for me? I currently have Seachem metro, focus, and cupramine (which I am leery to use with the wrasses)
