ICK looking better

So I went to my local fish store yesterday to get that Kick ICK they recommended going natural first with a couple of cleaner wrasses and dosing the tank with garlic I must say it has only been 24 hrs. but I am amazed at how good the fish look. Now I would think that this does not kill the ICK but maybe control it. Can anyone comment on this treatment this is in my 180 dt.

Well, cleaner wrasses are known not to eat ciliated protozoans such as ich. So they aren't doing anything. Garlic, might or might not. However, the life cycle of ich is to drop off the fish when it matures. This often gives the appearance of the fish getting better, when in fact what is really happening is the parasite dropping off to reproduce and come back in greater numbers a few days to a week later. Unfortunately to date, there are no reliable ich reef safe ich treatments. The only reliable treatments are copper, hyposalinity, and the tank transfer method. All require separate QT's.
