I am pretty sure my new Percula clown has ick (Only been in tank 2days). Visiable in the morning disappears in the afternoon. Small white dots...however the fish is eating and swimming around fine.
Jill (the fish) is the only fish I have along with some crabs, snails, peppermint shrimp, live sand and live rock. All my test that should be zero are and my PH and salinity are where they should be.
Now I have read all the possible ick threads and have come to the conclusion I can treat the problem in two ways: Hypo Salinity or copper. Now here are my questions....
1. I have moved Jill to the QT do I treat Jill with the copper? And the DT with the Hypo process?
2. Do I need to treat the DT at all? Will she keep getting it if the DT is not treated?
3. Should I remove all of my inverts/shimp and do the Hypo process in the DT. Will this harm my live rock and sand?
4. Does the Hypo typically take 6 weeks?
