I finally got some better pics of the 2 softies I got. Can someone tell me what they are?

Then this Green thing, it's sthe same size as a Kenya tree at the branchs, but it's angular and no little tentacles everywhere.

The first one is a Dendronepthea, IMO.

I dont think so, this is very different from Dendronepthea. This is more like a Kenya tree.

Need better pics of the second one...WITH OPEN POLYPS, please.

no ployps, neither did the other pieces of it at the LFS. It is really radio active green!

Better pic.

First looks like a Lemnalia sp perhaps, or one related to that genus.

Second looks like an aggervated Sinularia. With no real defining characteristics visible though, its impossible to give a good ID.

Once again - IMO

New pic is much clearer...I would guess some form of Sinu. No polyps...wierd???Give it time...How long have you had them?

Hey Josh

I have only had the frag for about 3 days, the guy I got it from has a huge tree of it, and it was all angular looking and had no polyps of any sort in his tank when I was there.

Tim- No doubt it has great green color and I would love to get a frag myself!!!!:)
Can you get a pic of the mother colony?

Second one defiantly looks like singularia to me. Yours looks like mine did when I got it. It came from a friends tank, apparently it wasnt doing too well because it was shriveled up. When I put it in my tank it slowly opened from just a stalk to about 10 inches across.

Few days in my tank.

Several weeks later. Sorry for the poor quality, I was trying to take a photo from across the room.

Closed and semi-open polyps.

Neither of those are "Sarcophytons".

I think you've got good advice so far.

1. Neospongodes or Lemnalia (basically the same anyways)

2. Sinularia or Nephthya
