ID Confirmation

I was thinking this coral was Acanthastrea echinata, but the largest polyp is 3-4 inches in diameter(smaller polyp is about 1 inch across). Do you think it is an echinata?

unless you bought a frag off someone who said it was an acan, im betting it's a scolymia. i dunno the species but that is the genus.

I second scolymia.

This guy is attached to a rock and is growing around it. I thought scolymia had to live on the sand. He also doesn't seem to be as fleshy as a scolymia.

Maybe another picture will help:

If you follow the sides of the coral around you can see the rock it is on and where it is growing over the rock. Do you still think it is a scolymia?

I don't think it is scolymia...
It kinda looks like Acan. Echinata to me, a rather large polyed Echinata...

I was looking at some pictures of scolymia, and I suppose it could be one ... I'll have to look in the big book at home.
