Below is a pic of a couple tangs I have in QT. I am having trouble with the ID and specs. of the upper fish. It appears to be a lavender tang (Acanthurus nigrofuscus) but there are quite a variety of these and several different max lengths reported.
So does anyone have any definitive opinion? I have seen lengths from 6" to 22" and I would like to pass this fish along to a local reefer, but his tank cannot support fish over 12".
