ID For Unknown Sponges

Hello All,

Does anyone have ID's for these sponges that are growing in my Fuge? Are they bad? Or good? Or nethier???

This one looks like some sort of tube sponge. Like something I would see diving but they are huge in the ocean!

Its nearly impossible to ID a sponge without a microscopic view. The nice thing is, hitchiker sponges are almost always either beneficial or indifferent. Theyre great filter feeders and work well to polish the water of very small suspended particles (hence their use in cryptic fuges).
The only danger that is somewhat common is that some varieties will irritate and/or overgrow corals. Since you have them in a fuge though, its not likely to be a problem for you.
 
Think electron scanning microscope style magnification.. no lie..

Although the first one looks a lot like what I had ID'd by Dr Ron as Phylum Porifera. LOL of course I sent it to find out. :D
 
its almost impossible to id a sponge without an electron microscope, and someone who knows how to use it, and on top of that, someone that knows how to ID a sponges
