Hi all.

I was wondering if people can give me an id or guess on what this acro / tort looking thing is.

Thanks

I have the exact species. I dunno what it is, But i have narrowed it to my guess a pectinatus. Dunno but its a fast grower.
Its a stag, but other than that thats the best guess i could get.
BTW mine came in as bali aquacultured.

Well, here is the best of my photo abilities.
I've tried increasing the ISO and playing with the shutter to get more light, but it also gets grainy.

lol. i will as soon as i figure out this ISO thingy on my camera.

By the way I love the look of the first shot, composition wise I would not have the object (SPS) in the center of the shot. You might want to leave it at low ISO and just mount the camera in tripod and maybe over expose by 1 F-Stop. What camera are you using?

I'll give that a shot. I am using the Canon Digital Rebel with 50mm macro.

AAaaargh!!! Nice corals and nice cameras......Must work harder, more money, more goodies......

Very nice first shot BTW. I like the way the coral comes out of the darkeness.

Next year comes the camera. Haven't decided whether its a Nikon or a Canon yet though.

That is a great camera/lens combo. I have a 20D and a 1Ds with a whole bunch of L glass

Mike: Nice!! I am working on purchasing more lens. I currently have 4, which additionals would you recommend? I have 200mm, 200mm macro, 50-80mm, and 50 mm macro.

ctreefer: Both brands are nice. I've seen some really awesome photos from them both :D
