This coarse red stuff appeared on my Blasto frag a couple of months ago. The frag has been in the tank for some time so I don’t think it came with it.

This rock has some of the same as above but also some different looking red stuff.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ah, thanks for the help guys.

The Tang police will not allow me to have one of their precious fish. Although I could probably get away with a yellow.

get a a tang .. tang police ..or as I call them noob police ... get the tang yellow would be fine you can get them quite small !!!

LOL, Good ones.

Seriously though, I don’t know that I can get more fish into my tank. It’s a 54 corner with 2 clowns, a flameback Angel and a Falco Hawkfish.

The Tomani's are nice looking fish and appear to be relatively docile (my tank inhabitants are not aggressive). Do you think it would be too much to put him in a 54 corner with the other fish listed? I don’t have a lot of open swimming space, see pic below.

i would i have had three in a 55 and they were happy and healthy

Yeah but a corner tank is a little different configuration. That being said, I am looking into it right now. :)

If I get one, I'll post a pic and my address so the Tang police can come over and discuss it with me in the back yard, personal like.
I may not be all that gangsta Sean, but I'm all kinds o Redneck. :)

Thanks again guys for all of the help.

Hey Eddie, I've owned quite a few tangs, and IMO the ones you're looking at Tomini, Yellow, Kole, Bristletooth, Purple... seem to do more grazing than swimming.

I owned a Kole and a Yellow, and they never really bolted across the tank... more just floating from rock to rock picking at the algae. Both of the ones I picked up were 3" or less at purchase time. Misled's new Yellow Tang is my old one.

Thanks for the info TJ. The more I look at the Tomini, the more I like it.

Thanks again Eric for suggesting it.

I've been looking for one too...AT has one, but I think it may a little too big compared to my other inhabitants....it's a sweet looking fish...

If you do....let me know where you find a smaller one....I suppose someone could order one...but I wonder if you can specify size...

Live Aquaria had one yesterday (1" - 2") but have since sold it. I'm going to contact Salty about getting one.
