Not sure what this is (circled in red on photo). I have spotted several in my sump. Not sure if I should leave it be, or suck it out. Any ideas what this is? Good or bad?

I also have a bit of a featherduster explosion... doesn't look overwhelming in display tank (yet), so not so concerned about these at moment. Might clean them out of the sump though...

Some kind of worm. Pretty sure they are beneficial. I would leave the feather dusters alone. They are filter feeders and their populations will rise and fal over the life of the tank.

Funny thing about the feather duster... a month or so back, i literally had about 4 of these guys... now, i could probably count a hundred between my sump, fuge, and dt.

I'm gonna leave for now, just need to make sure they dont make their way into my skimmer or probes...

Still interested in the other thing... if good or bad.

Does it move around at all? If not, then it might be some type of sponge. These do come in all kinds of shapes and forms.

As far as the feather dusters go, the links below should help.
