Hi Everyone.

I bought this SPS frag from Creative Aquariums in Tampa and it wasn't identified. Can anyone help me to correctly identify? It's a deep dark forest green with (as best as I can tell) brown tiny polyps. It slightly fluoresces under actinics (UV-A 400, 420 nm).

Thanks in Advance for your help!

Maybe by shape. Color is a miss though. The color of chesterfields is listed as cream or yellow and this is a deep green. I had a 2001 dodge that was labelled forest green that was the same color as this frag.

Color is something we just can't go by. The colors listed in that reference website are according to what it looks like in the wild. Usually seen with a flash of a camera. In our aquariums they have the capability to be any color since we exaggerate our lighting. So what might be yellow in the ocean as seen by Veron, might turn green in our aquariums.

Sorry to ressurect such an old thread, but I have some updated pics after 5 months of growth (and better pics too).

Thanks for the follow up Flick. I'd agree - with the new growth and the way the corralites are brancing off of the stems - it does look like loisetteae

Keep the pics coming as it grows out. It could be something completely different from that. Won't really be able to get a solid guess until it is a large colony.
