Is this a torch coral? The polyps sit on three inch branches from one trunk.

Looks like a frogspawn to me.

yep frogsprawn. torch have longer tenticles with only one tip. frogsprawn has branching tenticles with many tips or bulbs on each tenticles.

Okay, great -- the polyps didn't look like a torch to me, but all the frogspawn pictures I'd seen were always in large clumps with no visible branching base.
