At first glace, a colony of aiptasia. If not, perhaps hydroids. Yellow polyps also came to mind. GL.
 
Hmmm... I've had star polyps that had a white center like that though. They weren't sold to me as a gorgonian though. Maybe it was misidentification. :)
 
I had them in a ten gallon mantis tank a bunch of years back. They take over like star polyps but are a little different up close.

At the end of the slipper coral, maybe 2" up.



I don't think these are a gorgonian. Similar, but different IMO.

In your pic I see a more defined eye at the center. A better pic on both sides may show something more. If you see in my pic, there really isn't a eye, just a center where it all meets.
