ID help

Could very well be Pseudocorynactis sp. Looks very similar. Where do you find your ID info?

A quick google shows I may want to be careful with this one. Sounds like it could get a bit bigger with a matching appetite.

I'll try to turn the rock and get some better shots of it.

Any other guesses?

It is a white ball anemone for sure. They don't get very big, and it is no threat to your reef organisms.

I generally get my info from reading, but in this case I just knew what it was from prior experience. There are so many books out there...some good ones are Eric Borneman's "Aquarium Corals" Anthony Calfo/Bob Fenner "Reef Invertebrates", also Bob Fenner's "Conscientious Marine Aquarist"..there are many more good ones too.
