I picked up a mantis today at my local LFS and it's a little bigger then 1.75 inches and is totally jade green. No other markings on it solid green. I would take pictre but I can't seem to find my camera, Any ideas? i'll see if I can find my camera i'll take some pictures.
Fish safari today they said they got it from one of ther customers. He very active. He wacked me good today while I moved a rock. Scared the crap out of me but didn't hurt.
There are several species that can be bright green -- the most common would be N. wennerae. Look on the inside of the smashers for round "spots". The colors of the outer circle and inner "fill" of the meral spots are often species-specific.
