ID Help

Someone from my local reef club suggested that I post this here. My tank is just overr one week old, and this started to "sprout" on one of the rocks in the tank. Trying to figure out what it is, and whether to leave it in the main tank...

Hello Tracy,

It looks like the beginnings for sargassum species. It's hard to give an ID until it grows out some more.
