Not sure what it is. But i have a small (~2cm) large star fish looking thing that is on the side of my tank. Im not sure if its a star fish because it has 6 legs, and i dont know where it came from, and also its white in color. Any ideas?

Probably an asterina. There are different kinds, but most are harmless.

I've got one of those in my tank that we set up yesterday, the only difference is it's a real light tan instead of white... My buddy has one that looks like that, only it has three legs instead of 6.
We weren't sure what they were or where they came from, makes me glad you posted that pic.

After doing a little more reading on the boards, I came across a post by AIMFish that had this link in it. About half-way down teh page, there are the asterina stars with a pic. Looks to be the same thing you and I both have.
