I'd like to join the club!

Hey all, my name is Valerie, I live in the Coal City area. I am new to reefkeeping, my tank is about 6 months old. I would like to join this club, how does one go about that? Also, I am interested in buying some small (inexpensive) frags of corals that are good for beginners. If anyone could help me start out my reef, that would be excellent. Thanks!

Thanks, Douglas. I took a look. Schaumberg is REALLY far for me! I may take a ride up there sometime on a meeting day and check it out, and I may join if I really like it, though.
HansnFrans, I'm down in Bloomington a lot, my sister goes to ISU. If you ever want to sell a frag let me know.

Gluestick- that's bloomingdale .... it's really far from bloomington. Right now, my tank only consists of frags, wish my stuff was more grown out so that I could frag some stuff. If you are looking for anything in particular, let me know and I'm sure I could help you find it. I am always buying frags too, so I could probably help you locate 'em

Oh, I misread. Not looking for anything in particular, just easy to take care of stuff, inexpensive stuff in case i kill it!!! I've never had corals and I'm scared because they seem so delicate!

The club usually has a frag swap in the fall. Definetely worth the trip up. That's how we started. Picked up nice frags for $5-10.

Also, alot of fellow reefers on this forum will sell frags at great prices and even give some away.
