Hey guys, long time no see. I'm not reefing now, just a planted FW tank. Hope everything's going well with the club.
Anyways, I'm a photography student at Academy of Art.
I would like to take photographs of someone's tank. I'm looking for something big with lots of really colorful corals. SPS/LPS etc. Interesting inverts and fish are a big plus too. TOTM quality.
I will be photographing with a top notch digital SLR and several flash units. I will be using a variety of lenses, predominantly macro lenses think. My aim is to create professional, high-quality photographs.
What I would provide you would be a burned CD of JPEG images that you could use for personal use. (ie. posting them here on RC, etc.)
I know a lot of people struggle photographing their tanks, so I thought this might interest a lot of people with gorgeous tanks but without the means or knowledge to properly photograph it.
This project would probably take place on the weekends. Each visit I'd probably stay 2-4 hrs at the most. I'm guessing this might take 3-5 visits. Again, I'm trying to create quality images which takes time and patience (especially when photographing live animals!)
I'll try to check this thread, but for faster response you can email me at: jpdobrin *at* hotmail.com
Because I live in Marin / north bay I'd like to keep traveling distance to a minimum. Hopefully I can find someone in San Francisco, but Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond are ok too. South Bay and far east bay people are just too far for me.
If you could post or send me some general pictures of your tank that would be wonderful too.
Thanks!
