Hi all. I had this given to me yesterday. Can anyone help. Retracts at night and opens in day.

When the lights are off the polyps retract in to what looks like a white rubbery distorted branch?

generally whatever rock it is growing over you place on the sand so when it starts to spread over the sand you can just cut away the mat

Thank you. Is there a best way to keep it under control?

IMHO, the best way to control it is to remove it from the tank before it covers everything. It can be slowed down by isolating it on it's own little island of rock. If you surround it with rubble rock, as it spreads you can remove and replace those pieces.

Seems like they should have given you a new camera for a gift instead :p

Ha ha. A good tradesman never blames his tools. I ain't no Tradesman. I just can't take a photo. Photo supplied by Iphone 10. [emoji6]

GSP, Xenia and Kenya Trees are all manageable just as long as your willing to do a little work. If not then I don't know what to tell you. The coral is just being a coral, it's the owner whose to blame.
