I've just today found some "swimmers" that look like a mini tadpole. They are too small to capture with my camera, but another description would be they look like "sperm". Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hmmm hadn't thought about that - we do have 2 fire shrimp. I'll watch them for a little bit and see what happens. Thanks!

No, not an amphipod - I think the shrimp fry is probably right - I never gave that a thought though. They're hiding out under one of the brains and are pretty safe - so we'll see what develops.

When I bought a cool rock with all these holes awhile ago from an established tank I thought one of the fish in her tank laid eggs but it turned out to be brine shrimp. They never did get any bigger and when I look in the holes I can still see them a year later now. And when I check the tank out after hours they're all over the place.

I have the same thing, but I'm not sure if it's mysis shrimp or from my peppermint shrimp, as they were pregnant when I bought them, or so said the shop keeper when I bought them. I'm sure he knew what he was talking about, but with my knowledge, he could have told me they were carrying missle launchers and I wouldn't have known the diff, lol. by the way GOOOOO BIG RED, just thought I would lighten everyones day!

Mysis spp. would be my guess as well. They are often abundant in reef aquariums and refugiums. It is very unlikely how ever that they are fire shrimp.

Thanks for all the responses, and thanks for the links Dan! Unfortunately, I didn't find anything there that remotely resembled whats swimming around in my tank. LOL I'll keep looking and post if I find anything.
