ID of this brown fuzzy worm

I agree on the sea cucumber. You can see the pedicillariae around the edges in certain areas--characteristic of cukes.

It kind moves be inching along the bottom of the container that I have it in. It tried to climb the side of the container.

Seems to get shorter, and then streches to move.

does it have a smooth foot like a snail or lots of little tube feet? if its tube feet its a cucumber, maybe a Holothuria floridana. if its a smooth foot, then its some type of sea slug, or nudibranch.

I believe it is a cucumber.

Are they good for a reef tank?

if it is in the Holothuria family i would say yes. i had a yellow morph. those dont release toxins into the tank like many others do when they die or as a defensive move. mine would go around eating the sand and pooping out clean sand. interesting to watch. alot of cukes can and will give off some toxins that will wipe out your whole tank though. but without a 100% ID theres no way to know for sure.

Okay, I was told by Shimek that he believes it to be a filter feeding dendrochirote holothuroid cucumber...but a crisper pic would help confirm or refute the id.
