id on crab

Today while cleaning some algae off a rock in my tank, a large portion of GHA got up and ran away...

When i tore apart the tank and finally got the little critter out i found it was a crab covered in algae. its a little larger than a quarter, and for my 30 gallon tank i believe that it was feeding on snails and maybe even fish. turning it over the crab is grey with small grey blue claws. ill post again shortly with pictures. Thanks for any help!

You might want to keep an eye on this crab, as it looks like it could be a type of decorator crab -- in which case it could wear your polyps as a wristwatch.

Id show it the porcline death trap. crabs are evil. esp hairy ones with pointy claws. I went crazy trying to catch/kill two that i had.

ended up shooting boiling water at them after months of nothing working. the hermits enjoyed them. got revenge i suspect lol
