ID on these little red things on my LR?

Hello,

I recently purchased this big chunk of green hairy mushrooms from my trusted LFS and I noticed these little blood red feather looking things sticking out in little colonies. (They don't extend more than like 3-4 mm out)

Sorry this is the best picture I could get.

Hopefully they're not harmful.

They look soft

If your not seeing any type of crown or antennas then it might be some type of red macro algae. The link below has some pictures you could compare it too. GL.
