ID please, and problem?

bone shears are the best, but you can use needle nose pliers to,, break at LEAST an inch away from the recession . Lots of time tissue loss starts on the inside of the coral.. I always put super glue over the exposed part of the coral structure to cover it up and seal it.. even if your not going to mount it ..
 
Gotcha, thanks. He didn't frag it tonight. :( I'm going to bug him about it tomorrow. I'd hate to see that go down the drain.

Anyone think a little frag of this will survive in a 15g with powercompacts, about 80wish total, if I place it closer to the surface? You know, just to get it into another environment to see if that will help? Obviously it cannot be a permanent home, at least I don't think it could be. Thoughts?
 
He did end up fragging it and has the frags in several locations. Some died, most of them survived. I am unsure of the current condition as I am no longer in the area but I'll post the end result in due time. Thanks for all your help!
