ID Please- Good or Bad?

These are clear/whitish tentalce like things...There is 2 of them...Any idea of what they are...Are they bad or ok? One is on my mushroom and it looks as though it's eating/stinging away part of the mushroom?

bad! abd wikk reorduce ub a heart beat! the suggested method of removal is a serynge and some kalk paste or joes juice!! yoiu inject it right into them and they should die off!

I know they grow like crazy but I only see 3 ...Can I try removing them with a pair of tongs?

no, bad idea. They'll spread further if you do that.

They came from the "live rock" you purchased.

They will be okay until you choose to get rid of them.

Will a syringe that comes with the salifert kits work or do I need one of the long metal syringes?

Where can I get "joe's juice"?

Should I move the mushroom to save it or will it make the aptasia move to possibly something else or hide?

I have found that a blow torch is not very effective, they come back! Plus it smells really bad! However if you leave the rock that they are on out in the open air/sun for about 60-90 days-that seems to do the trick. Superglue can also work if you cover everything. Peppermint seem to have alot of fun with my shrooms/rics so they went down the toilet. You could also get a hold of saltyunderground she has the brother of that devil zo eating nudi, the aptasia eating nudi. Good luck and may all aptasia go to HE double hockey sticks-but they might like it there!

Lemon juice has not worked for me, I've tried the syringe and everything.

If you take a syringe like the one in the salifert tests, put some airline tubing on it and very slowly give it some thick kalk paste it will eat it and die. Sometimes if they are ping pong ball sized or bigger it will take 2 or 3 "feedings". Works like a charm. Trick is to get the kalk paste just thin enough to suck into the tubing but not so thin it turns watery as you feed the satan beast.

ms has joes juice.. infact you can use mine if you give it back.. a little goes a very long way.. but then again youd have to wait until tuesday

Kalk worked momentarily for me. Roy walked me through it, but they ended up coming back around. I'd go to GWA and get 2 or 3 peppermint shrimps. They took care of mine.
