Hi all,

I'm interning with an aquaculture research operation here in Gloucester, MA. This is a recirculating multi-trophic saltwater system. We recharge our water from the harbor whenever we need to. Animal species change all the time, but right now we have cod, steelhead trout, brugal, skate, and snow crab.

We are getting some algae in one of our bio-filtration tanks (oddly, in the 2nd tank, rather than the first). It is spongy and green, and quite gaseous/bubbly. Trying to figure out what it is -- I am leaning towards boodlea composita, based on web searches, but can't say for sure. Any help? Here's the image:

Thanks,
