Chris, the problem is that many species look extremely similar in the frag stage. The chances are good it is A. valida, but the final form will tell one more. A. valida is a lightly-branched species with appressed, tubular radials, while A. nana is a more digitate clump with tubular radials. Also, their relative sizes are different, but one can't see this in a photo.
