I just had my tank crash on me and I lost my SPS but anyway since then I have seen these little guys popping up and I have no idea what they are. They are the little green things at the bottom of the picture, and I posted them here because I thought they might be like those little tube snails. The little shaft is flexible and they are really starting to multiply which usually is not a good thing. Lol. Thanks in advance.

Green algae in the genus Neomeris. N. annulata seems to be the most common species in tanks. They can spread rapidly & take over tanks. You'll probably find information on how to control them by doing a search here on RC.

Thanks for the info guys I will look that up. I would still really love to know why my tank crashed. I posed a thread about it on here a couple weeks ago but no one really had an idea what was going on. I guess that's why they call it a practice right? At least when I fail I like to know why.
