ID Please

looks lick it may be actually a coralimorph not an anemone like Pseudocorynactis. I could be very wrong but heres a pic of one of mine.

what you think

well, it is very similiar, but mine has no color...I'guess I'll wait till it gets bigger and post some more pics. Thanks for the reply

Very cool, that is what I was just trying to look for, multiple of those started appearing in my tank. The color varitation is different though, it is red tips with red foot. Do you have any info on the coralimorph? Thanks

i also have something very similar that came on live rock, mine appears to be growing out of a skeleton like an acropora although ive never seen and acro with polyps this large, i have a colony of about 5 a little less than a centimeter across each one.

Does it have a calcified skeleton? Can you post a picture of it after you have adgitated it and it has fully retracted? I think it is some sort of Scleractinian coral.

Kevin

Oh, I was looking at the pic that shows up in the thread, not your link. I'm 100% positive it is a scleractinian coral. I don't know the fam or genus off hand, though. It's a cool hitchiker.

P.S. did you get an ID on your worm? It might be a Sipunculan.

Kevin

after having another look at yours it does look different to mine. The back does look more calcius than mine. maybe a picture with it retracted may help.

maybe looking at Scleractinian corals is your best bet as kmk2307 suggested.
