Looks like zoas or polyps that is closed up and not open yet.

is it green and translucent? if so, it looks like a clump of valonia

It's more of a black with that white line down the center. The strange thing is it just appeared. Not that I look at that spot every day but strange to go from none to 6. Thanks for the help. I know the pic stinks.

I agree with valonia. Depending on the lighting, the colors can lighten or darken.

With the not quite round shape, it may be a type of botryocladia instead of valonia. Either way, still very invasive.
