I placed my GSP directly on the sand bed because I knew they could grow fast. Didn't matter. It managed to start growing on a rock ledge that was over an inch above it.

I just throw some epoxy putty over the top where I wish to contain them..when they start to grow over it... pop it up... bring to lfs for credit and apply more epoxy
