These mushrooms came on my live-rock for free when I started my tank about 10 months ago. They survived the initial cycle and have been growing huge. A few seemingly "died" about 3 months ago while the others continued to thrive and grow, about 2-3 weeks ago the "dead" ones started to come back to life (seemingly randomly as I did nothing different with my tank) however they now look like "red mushroom corals" even though they used to look like the ones in the pics below (sorry for the poor quality):
Can't seem to find these kind for sale on any site.
The main body is redish/purpleish/brownish and the spots you are seeing are a bright green color. The spots are not bump-like as I've seen in pictures for "spotted mushroom corals" but are smooth and part of the mushroom's coloration, almost like "freckles"
