ID please

Can you tell me for sure what this is? It was sold to me as a blastomossa but it does not look the same... it has much larger polyps and does not seem to have the tentacles of a blasto

you sure its an acan? it is much larger than the other acans I have

they dont look like blastos to me. Acan lord is my thinking. To big for micros and def. not favia or some sort. Is the tissue connecting or is it seperated?

I would say Acan Lord.
Few of mine open as big as 2".

It´s seems too big for a lord for me...

I think Acanthastrea maxima, or maybe a lobophyllia.

I am thinking lobs as well, But still if its a lobo i have been looking for one like that!!!
If you ever need to cut off a polyp keep me in mind.

It does except the polyps are about twice the size

i think i may have a pretty good guess on that id.it could be mussismilia hispada pg 33 book 3 of corals of the world?i was having a romantic evening with my better half watching a movie(or in my case pretending to watch)while i flipped through my veron books when i saw this and it rang a bell!i could be wrong but it looks pretty close .what do you guys think?were is randy o???

Looks like an acan lord, not an expert, but you might want move it away from the blastos.

Sorry take that back, looking at the polyp size compared to the blastos, way to big for acan lord i think.
