ID Please

Echinophyllia??? or is there a more common name for it. Blue with red/pink. If you need better pictures please let me know.

Would need to inspect the skeleton to be sure, but it sure looks a lot like an Echinophyllia. The only common name Ive heard for these is Chalice coral, but that refers to oxypora, echinophyllia, mycedium and most any other coral with that generic growth pattern.
 
Thank you, are these common? I picked it up yesterday at a LFS They did not know what it was and payed less then $50 for it. It is around 6x7 inchs. Would a picture of the bottom be better?

That is an excellent price for one that size I think. In my area one that size could go for half again to double that price.
A shot of the bottom wont really help ID- you would actally need to break off a piece, bleach it, and have it examined under a microscope to give a more definite ID. Luckily, almost all of the other non-echino corals that it could be have very similar care requirements, so an exact id isnt really needed to give it good care.
 
ok cool Thank you for all the info. I really like the colors in it and heppen they brighten up alittle. Again thanks for all the info and time
