Those look a lot like the one clown I have, but mine has a bit more yellow to it. I always thought mine was a clarkii.

Did you buy them paired? Just wondering since they look to be almost the same size, which may cause some aggression down the road.

It will be interesting to see if anyone knows their positive ID.

na I just bought them together. I figured since they are similar in size that one will change sex.

My black and white percs don't even know there in the tank.

Hey i take pretty good pictures with your camera LOL Im curious to see what the clown authorities say they are :)

About how big are they? I'd hate to see one or the other injured or killed because of a dominance dispute, they're gorgeous fish.

Also, are they in the same tank as perculas? That could cause some serious problems...potentially the death of the percs. Though who knows, it could work out beautifully in your system.

usually when your buying clowns you want to buy a small one and a large one. large ones are almost always female... and if you get small one it is male.. if the large one isnt female yet, it will turn female.

i have had the black and white percs about two years. it was only the femaale which is about three inchs bugging them. since yesterday she seems to have laid off some.

the clakrii's are eating flake already too, never fails. i will give it a week and worse case i have a friend local who wants them. thanks guys.

cl2 i know about the size thing. just figured in time one would change sex.

I believe clarkii clowns and many of the clowns in the clarkii complex are closer in size between male and female than most of the other clowns, but i'll have to read Joyce again to make sure. I've read too much lately and I'm having trouble remembering what I remember... :)

Anyway, that information may be moot as dominance is most likely more quickly decided between two males where one is much larger than the other than with two males of equal size...
