I am fighting a sponge on the colony now, I did a freshwater dip to kill it off hopefully whatever this thing is survives.

well, if it dies, then we will know for sure if it's a stony or a softie

It survived, so what does that make it?

Here are some more pics of it, it is doing well after the fresh water dip:

You can see it closing up in the last pic, it seems to be more light sensitive than the zoos. Any thoughts on what it is?

That's a baby fungid, no doubt about it.

this is a great example illustrating how mellow zoos are around many corals (I've had them touching Montipora digitata, Turbinaria reniformis and frogspawns without incident)

So should I try to relocate it or should I leave it be? Any links to info on it would be great as well.

As it gets bigger it will break off and relocate itself. It seems to be doing fine for now.

Cool - Thanks for the help. There are actually two of these on the zoo rock, hopefully they will relocate somewhere visible.
